If the news items are not being displayed as RSS then you might have to 
take a closer look at your xmlnews.10 object. Can you see all the 
properties you have configured for the plugin.tt_news.displayXML 
reflected in TypoScript Object Browser on pid 66?

Just wanted to give a troubleshooting hint, you might have cross-checked 
this already :) as my main suspect is from the code you have posted it 
seems you have put plugin.tt_news.displayXML in "Constants" instead of 
"Setup".
