The tt_news manual already explains such an example. [1] and scroll a 
bit up (!) and you'll find the explanation of 'listStartId' + a diagram 
with multiple coloured boxes with item 1, 2, etc. And because this 
option is deprecated below that you'll find the documentation on how to 
achieve it with the option excludeAlreadyDisplayedNews.

You will have to make different templates for each list configuration, 
but that is only a minor challenge ;-)
