[TYPO3-english] wt_directory how to add more options/letters in abc-filter

Hi,

Im trying to change the abc-filter in wt_directory extension. The web 
page Im building is in finnish and I want to add scandinavian letters in 
ABC-options. Like ÄÖÅ.

I cant do this using basic BE-editing and I have tried to explore the 
extension files for solution but without any luck.

Is there any way to add extra letters to the abc-field? And it would be 
great if someone could give somekind of instruction how I can do this.
