Yeah I'm not sure how that will be affected.

This is true! (I'm ill so maybe not thinking about this quite clearly ;-) )

I do have one problem with displaying the event detail on it's listing 
page. When it they were all going to be displayed on one particular page 
I would have had to just clear the cache/indexing for that one page when 
I wanted to clear all event caching. Now I'll have to clear all the page 
cache, which isn't ideal.
