[TYPO3-english] realurl: standard configuration changed?

Hi,
I still keep asking myself if the standard configuration of realurl has
been changed (we use v 1.5.3 with a TYPO3 system 4.2.6), so that now,
when using a navigation title, this determines the url of the page, not
the pagetitle anymore (in earlier versions, e.g. using realurl 1.3.1
with a TYPO3 system 4.1.6., the pagetitle determined the url, even if a
navigation title has been entered).
Since this new auto configuration seems to make the navigation title
superfluos (because even when using a navigation title, we could not
keep the former url) and might cause problems when updating realurl (all
urls, where navigation titles are used, were going to be changed, and
search engines would not find these pages anymore), we are wondering if
this is a bug that should be reported?
Has anyone noticed this in other systems, too? Or am I just mistaken and
the auto configuration has always used the navigation title to determine
the url of the page?
Kind regards,
Daniela Koenig
