[TYPO3-english] Powermail no longer supports simulatestatic?

Powermail 1.3.11 was compatible with simulatestatic, it included a test for 
simulatestatic configuration in pi1/class.tx_powermail_form.php

I've just installed Powermail 1.4.6 and find the js validation doesn't work 
(or at least, I can't get it working...), and grepping the source it seems 
that there is no mention of  simulatestatic anywhere in there.

www.example.com/testing.html?type=3131  does not display the js

www.example.com/index.php?id=testing&type=3131 DOES show the js

Is this a bug, or a 'feature', to no longer support simulatestatic, or am I 
missing some configuration somewhere?

Any workarounds?
