[TYPO3-english] Limit the content slide

Hi group,

I would like to slide for content up to the first level.
The content is located in the border column but this column is used for other 
purposes on the homepage.
So if, after sliding, no content is found on the first level (the subpages of 
the root), a default image should be used.

Is this possible? I am using csc, not TV.

My plan B is: create a new column and use that one for the content but I would 
rather use the sliding if possible.
