[TYPO3-english] UNC path in TYPO3 fileadmin on Windows 2003 server

I tried all possible slashes forward and backwards, double and single, 
trailing non-trailing, it's not showing up in the fileadmin.
Is it suppose to work on networkshares?
Any other posibilities?
