Hi Helge,
Do you have a large website? Because in our case, when we changed the encryption key as part of the upgrade, just about every dynamically generated image had to be rebuilt. This caused quite a strain on the web servers, which eventually tapered off again as more and more images became available directly from disk.. so I'd say this is normal.

Hello all,

I upgraded my Typo3 installation from 4.1.7 to 4.1.10 yesterday and
encountered a weird phenomenon. Within 5 minutes (the interval at which
we log the load) the CPU usage increased by 60%, the system load grew
correspondingly. The CPU usage then stayed at that level all day. Today
(when I was prepared to downgrade again and apply the security patches
manually) everything is back to normal again.

The database load was not affected by the upgrade.

Does anybody have an explanation for that? Has anybody else experienced
this?
