[TYPO3-english] history / undo function incomplete?

Hey,

for some time now we are finding that the history / undo function of 
records in TYPO3 4.2 seems to be incomplete, so that, for example, 
individual steps are not displayed, or the history of a template 
contains nothing but the creation date, although the settings are 'show 
entries' > 'all' and 'show sub elements' and 'show deletes/inserts of 
records' > yes.
Has anyone noticed this as well, or any hints what might be wrong, e.g. 
a file might be full?
