[TYPO3-english] content area format question

I seem to have accidentally changed the format of how the
content management area looks, and I can't seem to change
it back. 

What I want is this standard layout;
(the sites are different so pay no attention to the contents)

but what I have now is this;

This must be a simple question for someone.  I have searched for
anwsers, unfortunately searches on typo3 + content area + format,
and any other words I can think of bring a large set google links
which of course are unrelated.
