[TYPO3-english] Indexed search result titles: page title shows instead of title tag

Hello list,

I've got a site where most but not all of the indexed search results  
that come back show the contents of the Title field in the page record  
rather than the contents of the title element in the <head> section of  
the relevant page. In some cases, the search result does contain the  
contents of the title element. Because the <title> is much longer and  
more descriptive, the client would like it to appear in the search  
results.

Is there a way to force this behaviour?
