[TYPO3-english] tt_news crop title in latest

I don't really understand what you mean by that. How do I check if the 
typoscript is being added to the template?

I also crop the subheader in a listview, which works perfectly with:
plugin.tt_news.displayList.subheader_stdWrap.crop = 50| ... | 1
