[TYPO3-english] SPEED comparison of JS Frameworks

Hi
in FF3 windows: prototype is the second slowest
in Safari 3 windows: prototype is the fastest
Opera 9 windows: prototype is the second slowest
IE6: prototpe is the slowest
Now considering that many T3 geeks use a mac (and supposedly safari also),
they may have a different view of prototype's performances than somebody on
Windows.
Now speed isn't all. I had excellent experiences using prototype, and I have
to say that it always fit the need.
Concerning it's size, once minified and served as gzip, it shrinks down to
something like 25KB. Anyway, browsers will keep it in their local cache.
So although I'm not sure that prototype is the best choice for TYPO3, I'm
sure that TYPO3 won't suck by using prototype.
Regards,
Jerome Schneider
