[TYPO3-english] Firefox 3.x.x and rhtmlarea

RTE text fields appear empty in Firefox 3. After a click on the 
sourcecode button <> the HTML code is visible and after a second click 
the text is also visible in the RTE.
Is there a bug fix for this so Firefox users (Mac users) can use the RTE 
without the double click?

Typo3 Version: 4.0.2
htmlArea RTE Version: 1.4.4
Firefox 3.0.3

Apparently this problem is fixed  in Typo3 Version 4.2.. An Update 
however is not eligible right now.
Is there another solution?
