[TYPO3-english] thumbnail in fileadmin

sm functions like:
*[thumbnails]*
[im_path]
[im_path_lzw]
[im_version_5]
[im_negate_mask]
[im_mask_temp_ext_gif]
[im_combinefilename]
r not activated in install tool and although i checked sm checkboxes ,but
they r not saved.

is thumbnail problem related to these options ?
