[TYPO3-english] pageNotFound_handling out puts a blanc page

Hi all,
My
	$TYPO3_CONF_VARS['FE']['pageNotFound_handling'] = '/index.php?id=72';

outputs a blanc page. I did patch the diff file found on http://bugs.typo3.org/view.php?id=6240 and even the expected error message does not show. I 
checked that the parameter
	allow_url_fopen = On
in the php.ini and the curl is not enabled in the Install tool.

Did anyone had the same problem? And fixed it :-)
