[TYPO3] protect file with frontend user authentication

Hi list,
I have some pages in my web site with protected by a frontend login.

I'm struggling with files protection like pdfs, ppts etc etc which are 
listed in these pages.

I don't like apache authentication becouse it will ask for another 
login, so, if the user is not logged in, how can I continue to protect 
these files?

Many helps will be appreciated,
