[TYPO3] problem loading phpMyAdmin extension

Hi all

 

I have a problem loading phpMyAdmin into my extension manager .

 

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to
allocate 18964108 bytes) in
/home/./typo3_src/typo3/mod/tools/em/class.em_terconnection.php on line 158

 

Is this a problem with the configuration of typo3, or is it something else?
I can't work out why when it is allowed a memory size of 33 meg, 18 meg
would be a problem.makes no sense to me.
