[TYPO3] change cropping of title in list view

heya,

the titles of records in the listview will be cropped after 30 chars in 
TYPO3 4.2 - in TYPO3 4.1 the title were cropped after 50 chars ...

Where can I change (increase) this number of chars, cropping the title?

The "Max. Title Length" in the User settings/Startup will only change 
the cropping of the page title in the page tree, but it has no effects 
on the titles of records in the listview.

Can anybody give me a hint?
