Firsts, please change your "From" name to something meaningful. You are surely not called "news.netfielders.net".

Are they displayed properly on the page (not source) if you use IE?

Does your extension use $GLOBALS['TYPO3_DB'] to access database? If not, this most likely will be a problem.
