Very good post
Especially also concerning the wiki.
Get in contact with Dennis Royer (developer of dr_wiki) I am sure he has an
idea how to integrate a TYPO3 WIKI.
We really have very good developers in the community and we are using only
part of all this power.
Like super 16 Cylinder Car running only on 5 Core Cylinders. Let's tune it a
little but ;-)

@ Daniel - it seems with pipeline you will have pagebreakes as Dennis just
wrote that pictures who did not fit on the page have been published on the
following site.
It is important to look over the teacup rim and examine other solutions -
look and see what and how they have done it and try to figure out how to do
it in TYPO3. In other words it would be false to invest in developing these
solutions instead of using the time/money/motivation to make TYPO3 even
better ;-) If we TRUST TYPO3 we should use TYPO3.
