[TYPO3] Fatal Error

Hi, Can someone help me here, I have not been using Typo3 long and I am
following the tutorials. I tried to install templavoila and a few other
extentions but keep getting this;
        
        Fatal error: Cannot use object of type ux_t3lib_DB as array
        in /var/www/typo3_src-4.2.1/t3lib/class.t3lib_install.php on
        line 459
        
I have got the required directories read/write so is the problem with
the new php5 and other updates being used. I am using a Linux
installation, and not the virus and spyware magnet (windows)
