[TYPO3] Typo3 gmenu font rendering 4.1.6

hello,

I have recently updated to typo3 4.1.6 and am encountering problems  
with GMENU renderings of fonts.
The menu items which contain letters with descenders (jpqy) for  
example "Login" are rendered with a different y-offset than items  
without such characters. The baseline is shifted upwards. I have tried  
several fonts and the output is reproducible e.g. it is not a font  
problem. How can I fix this.
