I have not been able to reproduce it consistently but 10 minutes ago it 
happend again and this time at first I only deleted the fe_typo_user 
cookie but it was still broken, then I deleted the be_typo_user cookie 
and it was fixed.

So at least I'm glad to know that it is only broken for me and not the 
site visitors.
