This was just a test template to see if I could actually see anything. I

Yes, and it's running, but in the extension list, the background colour is
not pink like for all other extensions. Does this mean anything? (Version
0.1.0)

Not my idea,

The IT Admin wants it that way. On are non-typo3 sites, there is a page that
gets shown if the wrong URL is given. He wants the same for TYPO3.
