[TYPO3] Problem with DAM + TemplaVoila + air_filemanager + GRSP

Since this is a cross extension problem I take my chances and post it 
here :-)

A colleague of mine configured DAM + air_filemanager (as a DAM frontend) 
in a automaketemplate installation. In order to get it working he set 
GRSP in the page where the air_filemanager extension is used to the 
Media folder of DAM.

Now that I try to use his setup in a TemplaVoila site I found that 
TemplaVoila lost the location of the sysfolder with its configuration. 
The Extended tab of the page properties now shows things like [ INVALID 
VALUE ("8") ], instead of the names of the TV DS/DO. If I set the GRSP 
before I try to select a DS/DO the select boxes are completely empty 
(logically).

Since loads of people use TV and DAM at the same time, I think that 
air_filemanager is part of the problem. I couldn't find anything about 
needing GRSP in the manuals of both DAM and air_filemanager, but his 
configuration only works with GRSP set :-(

Any thoughts on how to solve this?
