[TYPO3] Indexed search doesn't index Newscalendar items

Hi,

I have the extension Newscalendar installed together with Indexed Search, but 
the calendar items are not indexed because Newscalendar disables caching.
Other news items on this site are cached and indexed without problems 
(Newscalendar stores its items in tt_news).

Is there a way to make Newscalendar cached (which I think would be the best 
solution), or is there some other way to solve this?
