[TYPO3] tt_news: category menu coolURI issue.

Thanks for your reply. I checked the URLs as you suggested and discovered that it's a coolURI issue. Since there is some tt_news entry in the default xml shipped with coolURI I expected it to work out of the box.
The URLs are correct and the tt_news parameters added but I guess when coolURI does its job the parameter are somehow lost.

If someone has a workig coolURI config using tt_news I'd be glad to use it.

So what you want to do is have a category selector menu in the left column,
and display selected categories in the right column? 

If you're doing this using content elements, not TS, I think you can just
put the CATMENU content element in one column, and the LIST element in the
other, without any categories selected in the be for the LIST element. I
tried this and it works for me without any effort on my part, so I'm not
sure what's not working for you.  

What I think you need to ensure is that the uid of the page in the URL
generated by the catmenu is the same as the uid of the page that displays
the catmenu and list element. 

That sounds like what you were doing, so maybe if you told us what the URLs
are, and a little bit more info about how you're doing this?

Hello,

although this is probably an easy one I've not managed to find the right
tutoril on the net.

I've added a tt_news category menu to one column. another column should
display the news of the selected column in list mode.
The category menu works. It displays the categories and adds the cat id to
the url.
The other column contains tt_news in list mode but I don't know hot to set
it up correctly. If I select fixed categories in the plugin they are
displayed but not when set through the category menu.
