[TYPO3] typo3temp/pics headache

Hi there,

My install tool (TYPO3 4.1.5) keeps thinking that there are 11 images 
under typo3temp/pics, although I've deleted them several times from the 
install tool. There are no files at all in that folder - at least my FTP 
client and the PHP file manager say so. I can delete all temporary files 
in there (llxml, cs, GB, etc.), only the pics folder cannot be cleared.

I've searched the TYPO3 database for references to those files and 
deleted all cache_* tables to no avail. The install tool still shows 11 
images in the pics folder.

Any pointers as to which other cache I have to clear or what else I 
might be missing would be very much appreciated.
