[TYPO3] no password check in install tool!

Hi all,

TYPO3 is 4.1.2, php 5.1.6, MySQL 5.0.27. (first install on this virtual 
host system)

My site's install tool is open for everyone, there is no password check 
in entry.

In install tool Database Analyser compared the db and table and field 
definitions are ok.

*I tried the DB check and manage reference index, couldn't do it - just 
this error appears:
**Fatal error*: Cannot use string offset as an array in 
*/home/mysite/html/typo3conf/ext/kb_conttable/class.tx_t3lib_befunc.php* 
on line *87*

The other problem with this site was the thread "Strange Warning: 
Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in...". This problem is also 
still valid.

I have now started to uninstall extensions and following errors have 
appeared:

in */home/mysite**/html/typo3conf/temp_CACHED_ps4f0f_ext_tables.php* on 
line *3639*

... and so on - every extension uninstall gives an error.

So - where to go with this, thank you for any input.
