[TYPO3] RTE links on hybrid site

Hi,
I'm running a hybrid site, i.e. there are lots of static pages that
just get linked in directly while new pages are added via TYPO3 and old
pages are slowly migrated (the site is rather big).
Now, I have the problem that when a TYPO3 editor wants to link to one
of the pages which are still static HTML, he has to use the option
"external link" in the RTE because the "internal link" is only TYPO3
pages. This wouldn't pose any problems, if I did not need relative (to
site) links for other purposes. In other words, I get a link like
<a href="http://www.server.net/abc/def.html">
but need
<a href="/abc/def.html">
instead, as it would be using "internal link" in the RTE.
Is it possible to somehow get RTE to accept something like the above
AND still display the link as a link? I know that the link is still
there but it is not highlighted in the RTE any more. Without the
highlighting, I might confuse my editors. :(
Cheers,
Christian
