If you are talking about the "Mapping" tab in the TemplaVoilà tool,  
no. It just changes the mapping (i.e. the TO) and not the DS.

You lose your manual changes if you click on the "Modify DS/TO"  
button in the "Information" tab, and then save your changes as an  
update to an existing DS.
