[TYPO3] Do I really need gzlib to install a typo3 extension??!

zlib is not normally installed in the official distribution from 
php.net, at least not any (official) php distrib before 5.2.3, and I 
doubt after.  Look at the defaults for ./configure.

God, I guess I'll have to recompile php.
