[TYPO3] irregularity in mailform

Hello folks,

In one of the sites (TYPO3 4.1.2) normal mailform works irregularly - 
that is, it doesn't always send the emails. I also have the 
pk_save_form_mail, which saves the mailform data in db, but the mails 
that don't get sent don't get saved in db either. In the server's mail 
log the same thing: when mail gets sent it shows, when it doesn't it 
doesn't appear in the log either at all. So it seems that the mailform 
doesn't always send the information forward at all.

The sendmail is ok in the install tool and I've tested it many times.

Any idea of what might be wrong? Maybe overload of some kind...?
