[TYPO3] configuring htmlArea RTE in frontend

Hi,

just came into the same problem. Although the previous post is a little 
old, this is my answer: You have to configure it as usual via page 
TSconfig. There is already a key in the RTE array to split BE and FE 
configuration:

Just copy the default config into the FE array and handle each option 
there as you do with BE configuration:

RTE.default.FE < RTE.default
RTE.default.FE.showButtons = bold,italic,underline
