The manual is wrong on this point. The ability to set starting point in the
plugin is dropped in later versions. Was removed 2 years ago (check changeLog).
Without any more configuration it will indexing every page from the rootpage
in the pagetree where it is installed. Website root defined by a TypoScript
Template.
But the indexed search has to be enabled in TS. And the pages has to be indexed,
either with the crawler or when opening the page in frontend.
