[TYPO3] IE causing problems - carriage return in a stdWrap?

Yes, but I think I have identified the problem - which is
that IE gets confused when there is an <li> that isn't followed by a
carriage return. My question is, how do I ensure that my closing tags
inserted by my stdWrap are followed by a carriage return character.

Ah, but there given then I am using an HTML template, with
CSS, that works fine as a static file, there are limited ways in
which typo3 can mess it up.
