[TYPO3] lz_table could not be created Error

I have this error while attempting to import the extension lz_table;

Error: File "/usr/hosting/cubs/typo3conf/ext/lz_table/" could not be created!!!

I have checked the permissions on all directories and they are all
owned by nobody and writable. The directory lz_table -is- created in spite 
of the error message and the following files have been inserted in the directory
/usr/hosting/cubs/typo3conf/ext/lz_table/
although the package will not register.

The permissions here have been set by the package installation process.

I have attempted to simply delete the directory

/usr/hosting/cubs/typo3conf/ext/lz_table/ and reinstall with no
change in the problem.

Any suggestion would be helpful.
