[TYPO3] indexed search indexes too many pages

Can anyone tell me why the 'Indexed Search' extension gives results that 
show pages that do not contain the search terms?

I will search for a word and it returns a pages that does not contain 
the word. It seems very strange.

I think it is reading information from the drop down menu but I do not 
know why since the content in bracketed by the <!--TYPO3SEARCH_begin--> 
and <!--TYPO3SEARCH_end--> terms.

This behavior is the same for some other websites as well?
