[TYPO3] Display of records in the List View

Hi all,

I have written an extension, which allows database records to be
inserted on a page.

When I watch the List View of this page in the Backend, the records are
displayed in ascending order, oldest first. How can I reverse this
order, so that the newest are shown first? And, on a related note, how
can I display more than 20 records at once?
