[TYPO3] typolight?

My boss complains that Typo3 is too hard for him, he wants 
something simpler.

I have searched, but don't like the static-ness of 
most CMS's. Then I found Typolight,
http://www.typolight.org

It has similarities to Typo3 - the fields, the navigation, 
concept of users and pagetrees, etc..

But is it related to Typo3 ? Or is it just inspired on the
same ideas ?

My first tryout of the online demo made it look like
a "masked" and heavily hacked Typo3 backend, but still
like Typo3.

Do anyone know it ?
