[TYPO3] backend login not shown, frontend not parsed.. HELP!

I was trying to get my dam gallery working, and I removed dam from the
extensions for testing puposes - however, this crashed my backend, and
now I cannot log into the backend (as it is not shown) and the
frontend is not shown either

Now I went into my phpadmin, and checked the database - it appears
that all the tables are OK. hmmm.... I thought the culprit would be a
crashed table, and that phpmyadmin  would show my problem but it
hasn't

I don't have access to the typo3 installation login, but perhaps i
should ask my server people for that.

anyone have suggestions to what might be going wrong?
