[TYPO3] A very simple TYPOScript problem

First of all I have just tried to get the current page title, with no 
luck. But in the end its the parent page title I want.

And it might be well documented but I cant get it to work.

lib.siteName = TEXT
lib.siteName.data = page:title

this shows nothing

but this:

lib.siteName = TEXT
lib.siteName.value = test

works fine.
