[TYPO3] Big problems with php server disable functions

Hi list!

Please can somebody try to give an advice what to do:
I made web site with typo3 and few days ago I uploaded it to payed server 
host. In typo3 install I have these warnings:

disable_functions=passthru, popen, system, syslog, exec, passthru, 
proc_open,shell_exec, pfsockopen, exec,set_time_limit, link, symlink

When I tryed to contact my host support they told me that it's not possible 
to turn it on. Then I tryed with another host but it was even worst. They 
were very rude to me and sad that only amateurs will turn these functions 
on!

What to do now?

I found on typo3 forum similar problems and the answer was to find different 
host. But now it seems that none of the host providers are willing to turn 
disabled func on. Is there some work around for this?
