[TYPO3] Is it possible to select author of a page of of a content element in BE?

It /does/. Change the page type to 'Advanced'. To add an author to an
individual content element, you'll may need to write an extension
(using the kickstarter, this should take about 5 minutes--try checking
out the extension development videos [1]).
