[TYPO3] KB TV Content Slide & PHP 5

Hi List,
Running the extension 'KB TV Content Slide' under PHP 5 we are getting 
'PHP Fatal error:  Cannot use string offset as an array' in 
class.tx_kbtvcontslide_pi1.php.

I've found references to this error here (it appears to be a PHP5 
specific issue):

I was wondering if this is a TV or a KB TV Content Slide problem and if 
anyone has encountered the same issue (and has a fix).
