[TYPO3] typo3 index.php

in typo3 index.php thier is a field "username " and password
i want my user to login in typo3 and auto redirect to their page for edit and not able to see the tree structure 
i had done all the work and query is run perfectly but last this is that from where i can get the value of textbox username to put in my query??
what is that variable
