[TYPO3] Smooth Gallery prob

Hi 

I am trying to get the awesome smooth gallery.

I tried with it, and if I use it using directory, I get nothing.

I then installed DAM and when I add images it shows the black viewing screen with the rolling bar, nothing else.

I noticed when I save it it strips the ext from the filename. i.e. imageone.jpg then shows imageone (with no .jpg)

Can anyone help me please?

INSTALLATION
I installed ext
Activated the static template
created the plugin smooth gallery
used images from dam
put in all the relevent options
added 4 images

black box with scrolling bar only
