[TYPO3] pass a variable to an email form

this looks promising, thanks, but one question...

normally if i use the mailform content element and then the parameters 
to do the email form. If i define it in typoscript, do i have to put 
that ts in the setup field of a special template?

i could make a condition that would recognize if it were on the right 
page then output the form to the page instead of the column content as 
usual....
